It finally seems the frozen yogurt trend that has swept through New York City is making its way up to Boston. It's about time we had fun, yummy, dare I say it healthier frozen yogurt spots with chic decor. Honestly I really can't say what the delay was.
One night after a long day at work I was really craving a Dunkin Donuts Glazed Chocolate Cake Stick doughnut. While I've previously gushed of my love for this decadent treat, I'm trying to lose some weight this summer and was hoping for a sweet treat with less than 390 calories, 25 (!) grams of fat, and 11 grams of saturated fat.

I'm addicted to their frozen yogurt. I've found their very tart frozen yogurt doesn't go particularly well with traditional ice cream toppings (think hot fudge, peanut butter cups, or chocolate anything in general):
I'm a big fan of the original vanilla frozen yogurt with rainbow sprinkles:
It would also go fantastic with fruit toppings:
Sitting at the window seating is a nice people-watching spot. The chocolate frappe is really, really good, smooth and chocolately and served with a straw with the wrapper half off, a nice touch:
The cup is made from compostable corn by Eco-Products:
As a colleague stated the prices are not exactly cheap. It was nearly $9 for both the frappe and small frozen yogurt with sprinkles, but sometimes you get what you pay for. For about $1 I could have gotten that chocolate stick doughnut but then I'd have to walk all the at home to Jamaica Plain to burn off the calories.
